The original building for Sacred Heart Church started as a general store and post office constructed in 1910 in Saticoy, which was then moved and converted into a chapel in 1915. The current spacious church building located at 10800 Henderson Road was completed and held its first Mass on August 11, 1968. 1910: The original structure was built as a general store and post office at Telephone Road and Saticoy Avenue.1915: Community leaders moved the building to Violeta Street and converted it into the Sacred Heart chapel.1968: The congregation relocated to a new, larger building on Henderson Road, with the first Mass celebrated on August 11, 1968.1987: The historic old wooden chapel building was moved to Darling Road (before it was unfortunately destroyed by a fire in 2005).
